Imanol Erviti was among the eight runners called up of Spanish coach Pascual Momparler for the elite road test of the European Cycling Championshipswhich will take place in the Dutch province of Drenthe, starting on September 20.
Those selected for the online test, which will take place on Sunday the 24th, are: Iván García Cortina, Imanol Erviti, Jon Barrenetxea, Fernando Barceló, David González, Jesús Ezquerra, Víctor de la Parte, Xabier Mikel Azparren.
According to the Spanish Cycling Federation, Alex Aranburu or Gonzalo Serrano will not be able to attend, due to commitments to their team, nor will Oier Lazkano, who suffered from a virus during the Vuelta a España celebrations.
The route starts in the town of Assen where the online test for men will take placefrom where they will perform an initial sector of 115 km to reach the final circuit, which includes the Col du VAM – a 400 meter slope at 10% -, which they will do six laps to complete a total of 199.8 km.
