A skinny dog is all about fleas. Manchester United started the season poorly, as seen on Saturday at Old Trafford when they suffered their third defeat in the first five rounds of the Premier League against Brighton (1-3), but the problems did not end alone.
Today United announced that the right back Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be out for “weeks” after being injured on Saturday despite only entering the field in the 85th minute of the game.
“Further tests are needed to determine how long Wan-Bissaka will be out, but early indications suggest it will be a few weeks,” United’s statement added.
According to The Athletic, Wan-Bissaka has suffered a muscle injury and will be out for two months. No doubt another serious setback for Erik ten Haag which further weakened a defense that had weakened in previous games due to central defender absences Raphaël Varane and left-backs Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw.
Two days after making his Champions League debut in a difficult match against Bayern in Munich, Ten Hag is not counting on the playmaker either. Mason Mountor with Jadon Sancho separated for disciplinary reasons, or at Anthony, is also sidelined by the team after his former partner accused him of domestic violence.
