The Spanish Mountain Biking (BTT) Championship of the Local Police arrives for the first time in the Canary Islands this Saturday, on the trails 30 and 40 kilometer trials which will bring together approximately 150 runners in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The XXV edition of this championship, presented this Wednesday morning in a press conference, will be featured agents from 72 headquarters in Spanish territory.
Starting at 10:00 am and ending around noon in the Plaza de la Música in the capital of Gran Canaria, the Spanish Mountain Bike Championship (BTT) of the Local Police is proposed as a tourist boost for the city, framed within the Police Week and which includes recreational and leisure activities and guided tours for foster retention of the more than 450 people attracted by this competition to the capital.
The head of the Local Police of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Carmen Delia Martinapplauded the arrival of the Spanish Championship in the city, an event they received “with great enthusiasm.”

The island of El Hierro hosts this weekend a race for distances of 32, 33, 13 and 10 kilometers, as well as a 2-kilometer race for children under 13 years of age and a positive slope of five meters.
On the eve of the race, the bib distribution will take place at the Valverde Casino. On Saturday, at 9:30 am, the long-distance departure (32 kilometers) will take place, starting in the area of Las Playas in Valverde, and going through Las Casas, in El Pinar de El Hierro, La Llanía , San Andrés and ending on the main street of the capital of El Hierro after walking the Ruta del Agua path.
