Nottingham Forest showed great resilience in the rivalry against Brentford, managing to tie even though they were one player less for most of the second half (1-1).
All the wonderful things that happened then. The first half was dull and there were no chances on the part of either team. Refusing to take risks and having little imagination to break through their respective defenses, respect for not being accepted did it.
In fact, it all went on like this until Niakhaté, wearing yellow, mistakenly tripped an opponent with his studs and left Nottingham with a man down in the 55th minute. And not only that, from that foul came Brentford’s goal, the work of Norgaard with a beautiful header (58′).
It seems that things are getting very difficult for Steve Cooper’s team, which, however, had an immediate reaction. With a lateral cross, Nico Domínguez headed in and found a very static Flekken between the posts, who could have done more to prevent a tie (65′).
Nottingham fought back the rest of the game. Brentford played strongly in the second and were outscored on several occasions, although they lacked the brilliance to capitalize on the superiority they had. Indeed, the clearest came in stoppage time, which lasted 13 minutes, where Murillo, on the line, took a shot from Olakibge to rescue a point.
