The 20-year-old Norwegian Per Strand Hagenes (Jumbo Visma) won this Tuesday the 18th edition of the Sparkassen Münsterland Giro, a one-day German test held between Osnabrück and Münster, with a length of 194.2 km.
The young Norwegian crossed the finish line alone ahead of two great sprinters such as Australian Kaden Groves (Alpecin) and the Dane Mads Pedersen (Lidl), whom he overtook by 17 seconds, achieving his third victory of the season and his record.
Thirty runners, with some favorites, escaped 165 kilometers from the finish line. After fighting a peloton that did not give up, ten escapees went on to reach the finish, ending the test with the victory of the young Per Strand Hagenes, one of the three members of Jumbo-Visma present in the leading group.
Per Strand succeeded another promising young cycling player, the Dutch sprinter Kooij, also from Jumbo Visma. EFE
