The UEFA officially announced this Tuesday the headquarters of Euro Cups of 2028 and 2032which will happen in time for 2024, which will be held this coming summer on German soil.
Euro 2028 will be held United Kingdom and Ireland, which became the only candidate last week, placing it as a safe contest organizer.
For 2032, UEFA awarded it to the joint candidature in between Italy and Turkeywhich was also formalized last week, after Turkey abandoned the 2028 bid and joined Italy’s bid for 2032. Italo-Turkish was also the only candidacy presented for that edition.
These designations confirm the tendency of the main football organizations to give the organization of Euro Cups and World Cups shared candidates between several countries. After the 2024 Euro Cup, which will be played exclusively in Germany, the 2026 World Cup will take place in the United States, Mexico and Canada; Euro 2028, United Kingdom and Ireland; the 2030 World Cup, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay; and Euro 2032, Italy and Turkey.
