Villarreal closed this training week with a friendly training match at their Sports City, where they faced and defeated the Nigerian team City Abuja.
Pacheta’s team won the match 5-0, with the scorers being footballers Manu Trigueros and José Luis Morales, both twice, and winger Alberto Moreno with a goal.
Absent from this match are the injured Francis Coquelin, Denis Suárez, Juan Foyth and Yeremy Pino, who are all recovering.
Added to these were the losses of internationals Filip Jörgensen, Aïssa Mandi, Ilias Akomach, Alex Sorloth, Alfonso Pedraza and Ben Brereton, who are expected to rejoin the discipline of the group starting next week.
This Friday session closes the work done throughout the week, so footballers will have two days off before returning to work next Monday.
The team will work throughout next week, preparing for the match against Deportivo Alavés next Sunday, a match that will again be played at home at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
