Sevilla Brazilian center-back Diego Carlos Santos admitted that “he is not happy with the national team”, as he has not yet made his senior team debut.because he believes “he could have more chances” to be summoned after last summer he was proclaimed champion on the Olympic team at the Tokyo 2020 Games.
The defender from Barra Bonita (Sao Paulo), a key man in Sevilla’s defensive network, admitted, in a statement to his club’s media, that he was shocked and quite annoyed that he didn’t receive any call from Tite, the coach of his country, to play on the senior team.
“Brazil for me has always been a very complex issue. I respect all the Brazilians who were summoned; I went to the Olympic Games as a surprise, we were champions and I was happy that that dream came true. After that I thought I would have more opportunities and it doesn’t make me happy that they don’t depend on me “he said.
