French police have carried out searches at the headquarters of the organizing committee of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, as well as at several companies with which it contracted services for that competition, within the framework of an investigation into alleged’ y corruption in the assumption of works. .
As the committee itself confirmed, the searches took place this Wednesday and happened after the events of last June.
The French National Financial Prosecutor’s Office has been investigating for months the attribution of some of the contracts for the Paris Games, specifically around twenty, amid suspicions that there has been diversion of funds and favoritism practices, which was rejected by the Organizing Committee.
Among the companies raided by police on Wednesday was Paname 24, which manages the opening ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Previously, searches were conducted in companies linked to the construction of facilities for competitions.
