Laboral Kutxa of the UCI Continental women’s category announced Lourdes Oyarbide (1994) as the latest shiny addition to support a winning project that this year added the strength of double Olympian Ane Santesteban.
Oyarbide joins the ranks of the Euskadi Foundation team after spending the last six seasons with the Movistar Teamwhere he stood out as a luxuriously gregarious member of teammates like Annemiek van Vleuten and established himself in the national team at World Cup and European competitions.

Lourdes Oyarbide arrives at Laboral Kutxa after becoming double champion of Spain, on the road in 2019 and in the time trial in 2017, winner of a stage at the Vuelta a Burgos and podium at the Thüringen Ladies Tour. His experience also includes seven participations in La Vuelta or six appearances at the World Championships.
This is the seventh signing of the Basque team for 2024, after those announced by Ane Santesteban, Laura Tomassi, Eri Yonamine, Jessenia Meneses, Catalina Soto and Cristina Tonetti. Laboral Kutxa has competed in the UCI Continental category since 2021 and has been betting on women’s cycling for five years under the direction of Aitor Galdós and Ion Lazkano.
