An image has caused controversy on the WTA circuit in recent times. In particular, one with a lot of charm in which two world number 1s emerged as great protagonists, as Serena Williams and Aryna Sabalenka.
The American and the current ‘boss’ of the WTA coincided at an event in Casadonna, a luxury hotel located near Miami. Other top tennis players such as Reilly Opelka were also in attendance, during the less busy weeks of the season on the calendar before the final major tournaments, with the WTA Finals in Cancun a big event for the Belarusian starting this Sunday.
Sabalenka and Serena met at the event and were photographed with other partygoers. However, the image shared by both on social networks is very different. While Sabalenka is pictured with Serena, The youngest of the Williams brothers cropped the photo and left the Belarusian out of it. Accident or intentional? The debate took to social networks and criticism of Serena was plentiful.
