The island of Tenerife was affected by a serious forest fire originating from Arafo on August 15 and destroyed approximately 14,000 hectares in a perimeter of 90 kilometers in twelve municipalities. In its part, Peterplayer of Barcelona Soccer Clubwill join Red Cross to implement a Disaster Reduction project with funds raised through two auctions.

The project will help the population of the island identify the risks in their environment, study them to reduce (avoid) them so that, when a new emergency occurs, they are less affected. At the same time, it will train families in civil protection and how to deal with emergencies.
