Las Palmas knocked off Manacor in the second half

Date:

UD Las Palmas, in the second half of which they outplayed Manacor of the Tercera RFEF, qualified for the next Copa del Rey tie.

The Balearic team held well in the first half, they had their chances to get ahead on the scoreboard, but after reaching the interval with 0-0, after the break, the greater physical power and the changes made by García Pimienta made a First Team Division Showed its excellence.

[+] Rafa Nadal kicks off in his native Manacor:

The match kicked off and after nearly half an hour of pointless Canarian possession, Manacor took three actions to take the lead on the scoreboard. Alberto Pareja, on the rebound, and Sastre, after a corner, almost scored against Aarón Escandell. Pareja himself (38th minute) dangerously headed a good cross from the wing. Aaron stopped.

In the 40th minute, Sinkgraven fell in the Balearic area, which was disallowed by the referee. It was the first approach to the rival goal of García Pimienta’s team, who held the ball but did not interfere with the Manacorí goal. The break was goalless.

After the intermission, first choice goal for Las Palmas (minute 48). Kaba’s header was barely kept out by Balearic goalkeeper Elías Ramírez, who replaced Aarón Gómez at half-time. This was the beginning of the 0-1, which Araujo achieved shortly after, by surprising the local goalkeeper from the height, with a strong and crossed shot.

Alberto Moleiro, who replaced Yadam Santana, transformed the Canaries. He was the author of the 0-2 scoreline, which came after a few minutes, and in the final period, the young Pau Ferrer closed the match.

Manacor held on for half the game but after the break they were at the mercy of their Canarian rivals who won and qualified fairly.
