It’s been just over a week since British football was hit with the death of absolute legend Sir Bobby Charlton at the age of 86.
Sir Bobby Charlton’s family released this statement: “It is with great sadness that we share the news that Sir Bobby Charlton passed away peacefully in the early hours of Saturday morning. He was surrounded by his family. His family would like to extend their gratitude to all who contributed to his care and to the many people who loved and supported him. “We ask that the family’s privacy be respected at this time.”
However, the Daily Mail revealed today that Sir Bobby Charlton accidentally fell and hit a window sill at the residence where he lived and battled dementia. After noticing swelling in his back, he was transferred to Macclesfield General Hospital and several rib fractures were found and there was a risk of pneumonia. Five days later he died surrounded by his family.
