“He went a little outside,” the golfer joked Wednesday in a post on X (the social network formerly known as Twitter).
“But I enjoyed throwing out the first pitch last night in the World Series. Come on, Diamondbacks, you can bring it back!!!” he added.
Wearing an Augusta Masters green jacket, Rahm made the honorary pitch Tuesday before the fourth game of the final of North American Baseball League (MLB)which is played at the Chase Field stadium in Phoenix (USA).
Rahm has an important connection to Arizona, the state of which Phoenix is the capital and where the Diamondbacks play, because as a young man he trained and competed in Arizona State University.
However, Rahm couldn’t bring luck to the Diamondbacks, who lost the fourth game against the Rangers (7-11) and fell in the World Series 1-3 with no margin for error.
The Arizona team needs to win three games in a row if they want to win the World Series. The first of them will be played tonight and also in Phoenix.
