Norwegian international, Jorgen Strand Larsen, footballer of Celta de Vigo, assured that he grew up with former Atlético de Madrid and Liverpool forward, Fernando Torres, as his “great idol”, although now he is also trying to learn from his countryman Erling Haaland.
“When I was young my great idol was Fernando Torres, that’s why my cat is called Torres. He is my idol because I watched all the games in Liverpool and he played there before. Fernando Torres is an incredible player, but there are also other very good ones like Ronaldo, Zlatan (Ibrahimovic)…“, he claimed.
The sky blue attacker, for whom the Galician club paid almost twelve million euros to Groningen, is now looking at the Manchester City striker Erling Haalandwith him in a dressing room in the Norwegian team.
“He is an amazing player. Going to the national team and watching him train is very good for me because I can learn a lot from him. We have been friends since then and he gives me advice to improve moves and how to score. It helps me a lot”, he admitted in the CeltaMedia interview.
Larsen, who is in his second season at Celta, dreams of doing “a triplet” in Balaídos, where it is located “better” after the first year of adaptation.
“I want to show Celta fans and the club that I am a good player, that I can score many goals with this shirt“, indicated the attacker, one of the regulars in Rafa Benítez’s eleven.
