These are the teams that have already qualified for the Euro Cup

There are now nine teams that have qualified for German Euro 2024. Spain, Germany (host), Portugal, England, France, Scotland, Turkey, Belgium and Austria. The remaining 15 places in the final stage will be decided by the two remaining rounds of the stage (which will take place between this Thursday and Tuesday) and by the playoffs (based on performances in the Nations League).

Spain

Three Euro Cups in his record

The 2010 South African world champion has won the European Championship three times (1964, 2008 and 2012). They reached the semifinals in the last edition, 2020 (played in 2021 due to the pandemic). They won the Nations League in June.

Another with three European Championships won

Germany, now with Julian Nagelsmann as coach, will host the final stage of Euro 2024. It has won this title three times (1972, 1980, 1996) and has been world champion four times (1954 , 1974, 1990, 2014).

The current European runner-up

Led by Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, the English team is aiming to regain the title that eluded them in the last edition, when they lost the final on penalties against Italy. He has never won a Euro Cup.

France

Mbappé, for France’s third

Led by Kylian Mbappé, the French team, world champion in 1998 and 2018, currently world runner-up, will seek to add a third European Championship to its record, after achievements in 1984 and 2020.

Belgium

In the new era

After being third in the 2018 World Cup in Russia and failing to pass the first stage in Qatar 2022, the Belgian team began a new era under the command of Domenico Tedesco, replacing Roberto Martínez. It has never won a European Championship and was a quarterfinalist in the last two editions. They were runners-up in Europe in 1980. Pending the recovery of Kevin de Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois.

Portugal

Cristiano Ronaldo and the Joaos

The Portuguese team will seek the second Euro Cup in its history (after the one achieved in France 2016) led by Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes and with other stars such as Barcelona players Joao Félix and Joao Cancelo. This will be CR7’s sixth Euro Cup.

Scotland

It has participated so far in three Euro Cups (1992, 1996 and 2020), without passing the first stage. The recovery of their captain, Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson, is pending. Andy Robertson.

Semifinalist in 2008

This is the third consecutive European Championship that the Turkish team will play, having reached the semifinals in the 2008 edition. They lost their 3-2 against Germany, who were defeated by Spain in the finals.

To improve the round of 16 of Euro 2020

This will be the third consecutive Euro Cup finals for the Austrian team. Their best classification was eighth in the last edition, 2020 (played in 2021 due to the pandemic).
