According to Polish media published on Thursday, Kubica already participated in training on Wednesday with an AF Corse Ferrari in Imola and after the session he decided to commit to his new team.

According to the rules of the World Endurance Championship (WEC), Each team can display two formations throughout the season and Kubica will have three cars at his disposal to complete eight championship races.

During his long career, which began in 2001 in Formula Renault and led to him becoming the first Pole to get behind the wheel of a Formula 1, Robert Kubica has proven capable of performing at the highest level in both F1 cars and rallying . and behind the wheel of so-called hypercars, usually associated with long-term events such as Le Mans, where he finished 2nd on two occasions.

Besides, Robert Kubica has specialized in long distance races over the years and this season he won the WEC world championship in the LMP2 category with the Belgian team WRT.
