‘Pato’ O’Ward joins the McLaren Formula 1 team in 2024

The Arrow McLaren IndyCar Formula 1 team announced Thursday that Mexican driver Patricio ‘Pato’ O’Ward will join its reserve group for the 2024 seasonand will debut in free practice 1 and the post-season test of the 2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

As reported by the factory in an official statement, his participation in the 2023 Grand Prix is ​​part of the development within McLaren’s driver development program, where he will test his skills.

O’Ward, 24, started competing when she was just six years old and joined the British family in 2020.which participated in multiple MCL35M Driver Development tests and was taken to the 2021 Abu Dhabi Young Drivers test and the free practice of the 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
