Reus took the three points at stake against a Prat team that fell after six games. A very emotional victory as it served as a farewell to Víctor Oribe, who decided to hang up his boots due to work issues.
Two teams appeared on the pitch ready to take the initiative. El Prat warned in the 9th minute with a shot from Ashot and a defender cleared the goal. And ten minutes later it was 1-0, ultimately definitive with Aitor Serrano’s powerful shot from the edge of the six-yard box. Then, Adri Rojas avoided the second with a shot from Nico Díaz. And half an hour later it was Verdejo who broke the tie with a shot from Izan after a good collective play by ‘potablava’. Víctor Oribe tried to leave the celebration of the last goal, but his shot, in the 37th minute, went into the hands of the goalkeeper.
After the break, Prat showed more persistence in the opposing area, looking to equalize, although Reus also scored through the actions of Aitor Serrano and Jordi Oribe. In the final stages, the Pratense team had the clearest chance: a header from Álvaro Cordero (82′) and in extra time a shot from Pau Caresia that just missed the post.
