The American Tiger Woods signed this Sunday Albania Hero World Challenge (Bahamas) a final card of 72, in his first tournament since August Mastersand finished in second to last place (18th out of 20 participants), 20 strokes behind the champion, his compatriot Scottie Scheffler (68), the world number 1, who was three strokes ahead of the second, the Austrian Sepp Straka (64).
Woods, 47, went from strength to strength in this tournament, where he started with a three-over par, before signing a -2, -1 and a par in the next three rounds.
The winner of fifteen majors finished his tournament with a pair. In his final round, Tiger made five birdies for three bogeys and one double bogey, for a score of 72.
Woods closed the third tournament of his season, after the Masters and the Genesis Invitational. The American underwent surgery in April for an ankle injury, with which he has been experiencing discomfort since suffering a serious road accident in 2021.
