The UD Las Palmas Foundation has strengthened its presence in educational centers this autumn to continue LaLiga’s promotion agenda values related to the betterment of society. Thus, the “Equal and Diverse” project at the IES Pérez Galdós educational center in the capital of Gran Canaria hosted a series of talks with the aim of raising awareness among students about the importance of inclusion and respect for diversity.
Under the initiative of the Equal and Diverse project, students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in enriching conversations dealing with key topics about social inclusion. The UD Las Palmas Foundation, dedicated to promoting the values of inclusion through sport, led these conversations using sport as a key tool to promote integration.
The main focus of the talks was the UD Las Palmas i+i team, highlighting their achievements and his participation in LaLiga Genuine, where they show the spirit of improvement and the values to be fought for in society. Víctor Rivero, coach of the i+i team, and Paquito Ortiz, representative of the UD Las Palmas Foundation, shared their experiences and perspectives with the students.
The director of the center, Vicente Ramirez Dominguezacted as host, welcoming the Foundation and highlighting the importance of this type of initiative to raise awareness in the education community about diversity and inclusion.
Participating in conversations is positive, along with the surroundings 300 students attending and participating active in discussions. This event not only provided knowledge about the importance of inclusion, but also allowed the students to understand the positive impact on that sport can have in promoting these core values.
UD Las Palmas again wants to take part in the initiative and will actively participate to contribute a grain of sand to it great work led by local Food Banks. So, encouraging his followers to help as much as possible to collaborate in different ways with Food Banks in their cities and areas of residence.
