While Madrid continues to accelerate with the determination to host F1 again more than four decades later, starting in 2026, and Barcelona uses its contract signed until 2026 precisely in exchange for some improvements in the conditions of leonine imposed by F1 to sign the last renewal, the announcement of F1’s Solomonic decision is expected shortly. The problem is in 2026 because Liberty Media doesn’t want the two GGPPs to merge.
There is talk of a 10-year contract with an annual fee that would triple what Barcelona-Catalunya now pays for the Spanish GP and would put the Madrid urban circuit on the same level as the Sakhir circuit, which gets the Bahrain GP until 2036. The Melbourne contract , for its Albert Park street circuit, the longest contract, until 2037.
A classic circuit like Barcelona-Catalonia This is not the only thing at risk in the medium-term calendar. In the shortest term, Silverstone and Suzuka’s contracts expire next 2024 and Imola, Monza, Monte Carlo, Spa, Zandvoort, Mexico and Las Vegas have signed their agreements until 2025, although after the spectacular nature of the recent event there is talk of a renewal agreement until 2032. The paradigmatic case is Shanghai, which also has a contract until 2025 and has been missing from the calendar every year since 2020.
1
UNTIL 2037
Melbourne
F1 has visited Melbourne continuously since 1996 and the Australian GP is guaranteed until 2037. The original contract expired at the end of 2025, but in 2022 a ten-year renewal was announced in June, until 2035 , and two more years were added in December ., until 2037.

2
UNTIL 2036
Sakhir
Until the two-time extension in Melbourne, the Bahrain GP, which has been on the calendar since 2004 and opens it from 2021, has signed the longest contract, until 2036, an extension signed in 2022 for 15 years, the longest signed by a promoter with F1.

3
UNTIL 2032
Hungaroring and Lusail
The Hungaroring has been on the calendar since 1986 and in lieu of the last renovation until 2032, they are expected to update an infrastructure that has become quite outdated. Lusail started as a circuit to host the MotoGP GGPP, but after the first F1 foray in 2021 they got a taste of it and signed a 10-year contract after renovating the facility. Las Vegas’ contract extension through 2032 is also expected to be announced shortly.

4
UNTIL 2031
Jeddah, Miami and Montreal
The semi-permanent Gilles Villeneuve circuit in Montreal has been one of the classics on the calendar since 1987. In 2017 they signed a contract until 2029 and last year the extension until 2031. Miami signed a contract for 10 years and it was successful. from the first appointment in 2022. A year earlier, Jeddah hosted the first GP in Saudi Arabia, also after a 10-year contract. Until 2027 it looks like it will stay in Jeddah and from then on the Qiddiya circuit should be ready for the relay.

5
UNTIL 2030
Red Bull Ring, Interlagos and Yas Marina
In 2014, F1 returned to Austria thanks to the impetus of the late Dietrich Mateschitz, co-founder of Red Bull, which is in the last multi-year renewal until 2030. More recently, in November, was the renewal of Sao Paulo as the venue for the Brazilian GP for five more years than it was guaranteed until 2025. The Abu Dhabi promoter renewed for nine years, until 2030, with the desire to continue closing the championship. Yas Marina has been a fixture since 2009.

6
UNTIL 2028
Singapore
In 2008 the Marina Bay street circuit made history by hosting the first night race and the last agreement signed was for seven years until 2028. Furthermore, its future is uncertain.

7
UNTIL 2026
Baku, Barcelona-Catalunya and Austin
The last renewal of the Spanish GP was already complicated, but in the end they got a five-year contract until 2026 in exchange for an update to the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit. And then came the powerful Madrid project that shook F1 in its fixed headquarters since 1991. Azerbaijan has been on the calendar since 2016. The contract expired in 2024 and they achieved an extension until 2026. The COTA in Austin has been home to GP USA since 2012 and given the popularity of F1 in the country, a renewal beyond 2026 is assured easily.

8
UNTIL 2025
Imola, Monza, Monte Carlo, Spa-Francorchamps, Zandvoort, Mexico, Las Vegas and Shanghai
Most of the ‘old school’ European circuits end their contract in 2025 and given Liberty Media’s philosophy of prioritizing the business, they won’t hesitate to drop any of those classic circuits. Zandvoort looks safe, recovered in 2021, due to the effect of Verstappen, and it should be more than two years since its last renewal. Monza and Imola compete with each other and the second is the weak link; So is the Spa, on a tight rope since the pandemic. If there is a strong investor in Mexico behind Madrid, maybe this means that the Mexican GP can be talked about beyond 2025. Monte Carlo seems untouchable because F1 is unthinkable without Monaco and the Las Vegas is pending to announce an extension, in principle, until 2032 Paradigmatic is the case of Shanghai which has a contract until 2025 and since 2020 it has fallen into the calendar after being announced.

9
UNTIL 2024
Silverstone and Suzuka
Since the inaugural 1950, the British GP has existed and its first home was Silverstone, which since 1987 has remained an uninterrupted venue after succeeding Brads Hatch and Aintree. Although seven of the 10 teams are based in British territory, the last five years renewals have been difficult. It seems that the Japanese GP and Suzuka will not leave F1, but the renewal takes time and the last one is only three years.
