Germany leads another bid to host the 2027 Women’s World Cup

Date:

There is a third bid to host the 2027 Women’s World Cup. This morning, the German Football Federation, through a very sentimental video, announced a bid with Belgium and the Netherlands to host the World Cup event in two years.

This European candidacy has become the third alternative for the great festival of women’s football in addition to Brazil and the joint effort formed by the United States and Mexico. Among the sweetest proposals of the Central European candidacy is trying to increase the income by 50% compared to the achievements of the 2023 World Cup. The presentation campaign was carried out under the motto of ‘Opening new paths’.

On May 17, 2024, the final headquarters will be known

Until May 17, 2024 FIFA will announce the final venue for the World Cup. This is at the FIFA Congress scheduled to be held in Bangkok. In the case of Germany, it already knows what it is like to organize the Women’s World Cup with the precedent of 2011. It presents the cities of Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Gelsenkirchen and Cologne as venues. There are also four headquarters in Belgium, corresponding to Brussels, Charleroi, Genk and Ghent. In the case of the Netherlands it was presented in Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Heerenveen, Enschede and Rotterdam. Of the twelve proposed venues, FIFA must choose the final 10.
