He Pontypridd Unitedof the Welsh First Division, could be reduced by 141 points due to a series of financial and contractual irregularities of which it is accused by the Welsh federation (FAWfor its English acronym).
He Pontypridd was found guilty of 18 cases of financial irregularities and deducted six points, but could lose an additional 135 points if they land an out-of-contract player before the end of the 2024-2025 season.
The FAW He accused them of not paying the money they owed the players as well as failing to fulfill the contractual obligations they had with them, in addition to not registering the players correctly and having incorrect alignments.
The independent commission that handled the case also banned the Welsh club from signing in the next two transfer windows, so they won’t be able to bring anyone in until January 2025.
The six-point penalty leaves Pontypridd bottom of the table with seven points after 18 games.
