The savage who attacked a goalkeeper in Australia has escaped from prison

This Friday the prison sentence of the fan who hit the then goalkeeper of the team was revoked. City of Melbourne, Tom Glover, with a metal bucket during the raid on the camp, just a year ago. Alex Agelopoulos was sentenced to three months in prison with a community corrections order in August for the incident at an A-League match in December.

Glover was left bloodied and concussed after being hit in the face with a bucket as Victory fans stormed the Melbourne Stadium pitch. City later announced that he had suffered a concussion and required several stitches.

Victory formally apologized to Glover, referee Alex King and a cameraman who was also injured. Agelopoulos appealed his sentence to the Victoria County Court, where his lawyer argued it was unfair that he was the only camp occupier to be jailed.

The judge overturned the 24-year-old’s prison sentence and passed a three-and-a-half-year community corrections order, with 350 hours of unpaid work. Agelopoulos was banned from attending all football matches for five years.
