The possibility of driving through some of the most fascinating winter landscapes in Spain is one of those experiences that remains etched in the memories of motorsport enthusiasts forever. That’s exactly what happens with the Audi Winter driving experience. Participants experience firsthand what it’s like to drive in environments that are as demanding as they are spectacular, such as the snow-capped mountains of the Sierra Nevada and the peaks of the Baqueira Beret ski resort.
Driving in bad conditions
Spain’s rich landscape and climatic diversity means it has unrivaled spaces for driving training in extreme conditions. Sierra Nevada and Baqueira Beret are two of them and Audi knows how to make the most of their conditions. Days will be held from December 28 to 30, 2023 and every weekend from January 13 to February 25.
Participants will be able to enjoy the impressive features of some of the fleet cars that Audi builds with them: the Audi S3, the Audi RS3, the Audi TT RS, the Audi Q4 e-tron and the Audi RS e-tron GT in the Sierra Nevada experience, and the Audi Q4 e-tron, the Audi RS 6 Avant, the Audi RS 5 Sportback, the Audi RS 4 Avant, Audi RS 3 Sportback and the Audi S3 Sportback in Baqueira Beret.
During the sessions, and after the corresponding previous theoretical explanations, various very useful exercises for driving in snow will be carried out: dosing of braking force and calculation of the distance required to stop the vehicle in brake challenge; learn the best techniques for driving on sliding curves; or learn the basics of controlling a car’s weight in a sequence of curves in the slalom rolling test, among others.
The opportunities offered by Audi at the emblematic Sierra Nevada ski resort do not stop there. Because this year the brand offers a more challenging adventure: the Audi Night Winter experience, a course where customers will live the driving experience when the slopes are near, when the night covers the station.

Night driving tests include practicing emergency braking with avoidance of unpredictable surfaces; slalom testing to take advantage of inertia and improve direction changes; or what is known as a sliding circle, which allows you to learn to draw a curve in low-adhesion terrain. Drivers will test the effectiveness of Audi’s quattro traction on a drive on the Sierra Nevada ice and snow circuit. The program for this course, in addition to driving tests, includes a theoretical class and a gourmet dinner.
Meanwhile, in Baqueira, Audi launched a new course, aimed at learning the basics of safety on mountain roads in bad weather. A trainer will correct possible driving mistakes in either the Audi Q8 e-tron model or the Audi RS e-tron GT, two 100% electric vehicles. Afterwards, drivers can test themselves on the ski resort’s ice and snow circuit. It will take place every Saturday and Sunday from January 13 to February 25, 2024.
Driving on a fixed circuit, beyond the Arctic Circle
And if you want to live the experience of driving on a frozen lake, you can do it in Finland from March 8 to 11. Audi offers the opportunity to participate in a four-day course, 200 kilometers beyond the Arctic Circle , at the controls of an Audi RS4 Avant.
During these days, drivers will gain knowledge about the basic aspects of driving on ice. Emergency braking and curve transition with the support of innovative Audi technology in alternating curves, free driving around the circuit, several special stages and different routes within 10 kilometers of beautiful ice.
The experience of driving in snow and ice is now within the reach of any driving enthusiast thanks to the Audi Winter driving experience. All participants will be able to show their driving skills, pumping their adrenaline while overcoming the challenges caused by extreme weather conditions.
