The Dutch Floortje Mackaij, winner of the Vuelta a la Comunidad Valenciana in 2023, and the Canadian Olivia Gun extended their contracts to Movistar team until the end of the 2026 season.
The Spanish team, which is in Jávea (Alicante) in a concentration that will last until January 18, announced on its social networks the extension of the contracts until 2026 of Floortje Mackaij and Olivia Baril, aged 28 and 26 respectively .
While Floortje will be hoping to stand out this year in the first classics on the calendar, Baril, who has just arrived from the UAE Team, will be chasing the perfect consistency after going through different teams since his professional debut in 2020.
Floortje Mackaij highlighted the atmosphere experienced at Movistar since her arrival in 2023.
“Last year, I confirmed that the team is a family, with the teammates, the staff, my coach Víctor Rielves, inside and outside the race… Signing for three years is I’m very happy. I still want to develop. It’s been 10 years since I started my WorldTour career and I want to get the best of myself in the classics early in the season.
