EPIC Gran Canaria has joined hands with other sister events around the planet, the 5 Mila Marche and Prosecco Cyclingwho prepared special surprises for the champions of this edition, and also for the participants.
An alliance was created with Valdobbiadene, in Veneto, with international testing Prosecco Cycling and in addition, every EPIC Gran Canaria participant who registers for the 5 Mila Marche will have a 50% discount on registration, among other advantages yet to be revealed.
The seventh edition of EPIC Gran Canaria Registration is still open for the last few days to take part in the test that will close the first world cycling sports ranking for fans and passionate cyclists in the world, which will decide the 2024 champions in Gran Canaria.
The test will have two cycling stages run some of the most popular routes on the islandwith a first test of 115 kilometers and two timed sections.
Starting from the Mirador de las Dunas de Maspalomas at the RIU Palace Maspalomas, the route will test athletes with a climb that part of the foothills of the Maspalomas Dunes to take on the competitors to face the tour of Arteara, FatagaTirajana and El Pajar to Pasito Blanco.
The first chapter repeats one of the most privileged cycling routes on the island, with the first timed section of this stage from Aqualand to Ayagaures, with the goal of the Pedro González summit in a time trial of 12.3 kilometers at 470 meters of altitudewhich plans to torture cyclists by battling an average incline of 4.4%, and a cut-off time of 50 minutes.
The second of the tests will test the athletes in front of them on the roadbetween Pasito Blanco to Ayacatawith 45 kilometers and 1,304 meters high.
With a average slope of 4.7%, this time trial will push participants to the limit in a challenge through El Pajar, Cercados de Espino, Soria, Barranquillo Andrés, the Las Niñas dam and ending at the top of Ayacata.
The second stage is one of the favorite routes for international cycling enthusiasts, with 75 kilometer challenge and 22 kilometer test from RIU Palace Maspalomas hotel to Fataga and Tirajanawith 925 meters of altitude, on a slope of 810 meters and an average slope of 4%.
Fast, demanding, fun and very dynamic, the EPIC Gran Canaria RIU Hotels & Resorts replaces the GC-65 and GC-500, in a circuit passing through Santa Lucía, La Era, Vecindario, Doctoral and Bahía Feliz.
