With the victory, Sabalenka has won 34 of her last 36 matches against opponents ranked outside the top-100 of the WTA list.
“He is an incredible player for a 16 year old. The first six games were incredible. I had to take a step forward and play better,” commented the Belarusian on center court after the end of the match.
