Despite the latest desertions, the saudi league remains determined to bring its championship best stars in the world of football. For several years now, many stars have surrendered Saudi millions. And it seems that they will continue to fall into temptation if we look at the news that expert journalist Ben Jacobs announced in recent hours.
Saudi Pro League clubs plan to spend more than €2 billion on just two signings next summer. And Jacobs specifically mentioned the names of footballers they want to bring to the Middle East in less than six months: Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City) and Mohamed Salah (Liverpool).
The two billion euros they plan to spend next summer are divided into transfer costs, salaries and money for the agents of both stars. It’s a big difference compared to last summer. Thus, Saudi clubs spent ‘only’ 750 million pounds (about 870 million euros) on transfers.
De Bruyne, who has a contract with Manchester City until mid-2025, has already made contact with Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal, according to Jacobs. Manchester City wants to receive more than one hundred million euros for him. Last summer, Al-Ittihad wanted to sign Salah, who has a contract with Liverpool until mid-2025, for 175 million euros.
