“We have been able through this program, with a budget of over 48 million euros, to care for and provide comprehensive and personalized support to more than 230 athletes. We have greatly improved many aspects of his life and I think it is heading in the right direction,” the minister highlighted. “It was very satisfying to listen to the main characters and see that it was a right bet,” he added.
The event, held in the multipurpose pavilion of the CSD, served to highlight the program of Team Spain – developed by the Government through the Higher Sports Council – in preparation for the Games in Paris. “The success of this program – emphasized Pilar Alegría – is that it knows how to recognize the needs of each athlete.”
They participated in the event Carolina Marin, Susan Rodriguez, Sergio Garrote, Juan de la Torre “Xak”, Martha Fernandez, Ines Bergua and the coach Alejandra Quereda which, through Team España, received complementary support for highly competitive sports programs in their preparation for Paris 2024. They all agreed to teach the “before and after” that accompany this program .

The president of the Spanish Olympic Committee also participated in the event, Alejandro Blancoand the Spanish Paralympic Committee, Miguel Carballedawhich reviewed the work done by athletes and institutions from Tokyo to Paris.
The goal of Team España is to achieve excellence in the Olympic and Paralympic preparation of high-level athletes and Spanish teams with options to achieve medals at the Paris Games.
With an investment of almost 50 million euros during the Olympic cycle, it covers specific needs and goals such as international concentrations, participation in qualifying competitions, training, hiring figures such as sparring partners or psychologists , equipment, etc.
