As part of the ‘Strategic Plan’ presented in 2022 by the leaders of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, the Catalan route has stored ‘bombshell’ information that it revealed yesterday to journalists and that will become reality this year : a mega building located on the back straight of the track, just above the asphaltso that the VIPs in attendance can see the cars passing by from above until they reach the hard braking of turn 10. A large building that the directors of the facilities and the Generalitat of Catalonia want to do. another iconic work from this track as is the unmistakable shape of its main stand.
This building, which will be called ‘Circuit Rooftop’, with the first floor located about 16 meters from the asphalt, It will have three floors and will have suites with a direct view of the court through glass and exclusive hospitality spaces.
Besides, It will have a large open terrace approximately 30 meters high, which is located in the direction of the braking of turn 10 and where you can see the Estadi area and part of the main straight. A perfect location to see the F1 (or MotoGP) cars from above.
This hospitality gateway can be accessed directly from the paddock comfortably and quickly to facilitate the guest experience. In addition, they ensure that it should not harm the view of the fans located in the stands at turn 10, which will be covered.
Perfect for VIPs and other types of events
Will be like a large road over the asphalt, in the purest style of the giant service areas located just above the highways. In this case, it will be a walkway designed especially for holding events such as car presentations, and for this there is a forklift with which to lift the cars to the terrace of said work. But that doesn’t mean he’s a good fit for F1.
At Liberty Media, the owners of F1, they are very focused on offering unforgettable VIP experiences to customers with greater purchasing power. And this building could help Barcelona offer something extra that it doesn’t have until now in that sense.
No answer in Madrid
The creation of this mega work is not a desperate reaction to the announcement of the F1 GP that will take place in Madrid. It comes from further back. This is part of the Strategic Plan that was presented to the media in 2022where the facilities will undergo many changes, renovations and updates to offer a wider range of events that will increase the economic performance of the Circuit and enhance the experience of the competitions hosted by the track , including F1.
