The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) wants to join the Spanish Association against Cancer (AECC), within the initiative “Bracelets for Hope”, and will promote the use of green bracelets in their official competitions this weekend.
In this way, we want to symbolize the fight this diseasewhose day is celebrated this Sunday, and supports a major social cause with the highest visibility offered by the most important sport in this country.
With the motto “Everyone against cancer”this action aims to raise awareness about this disease and achieve a survival rate of 70 percent by the year 2030 through research, prevention and treatment.
In 2023In 2023, more than 295,000 people was diagnosed with cancer in Spain, representing an increase of 9.1% compared to 2017. However, the survival rate in men grew from 52.0% to 55.3% between 2002-2013 and in women from 59 . 1% to 61.7%.
