Japanese Rikuya Hoshino, Frenchman Ugo Coussaud and Danish Rasmus Hojgaard are the leaders of the Qatar Masters.a DP World Tour tournament taking place in Doha, after a contentious third day, as Spaniard Jorge Campillo kept the options within three strokes of the lead.
Coussaud and Rasmus Hojgaard signed a card on Saturday with 67 strokes and the Japanese 69 for a total of 206allowing them to face the final day with an impact advantage over another trio, consisting of Niklas Norgaard, Northern Irishman Tom McKibbin and Scotsman Ewen Ferguson.
Australian Haydn Barron, who started as the leader, fell when he showed a card with 74 strokes (-2), which dropped him to ninth place, three back of the head, along with Chinese Ashun Wu and Campillo. Just ahead, of the two, are England’s Sam Bairstow and Paul Waring.
Campillo closed the day with a 69 (-3) by achieving five birdies (three between holes 16 and 18) and making two bogeys. and maintains options to fight for the top positions in the Qatari capital, while Nacho Elvira and Alejandro del Rey, with 210 (-6) will also fight for the ‘top 10’.
