André Onana has been the protagonist of many mistakes this season at Manchester United, but against Aston Villa the Cameroonian goalkeeper played a great game and was key to his team’s success.
Having recently arrived from the Africa Cup, Onana showed a lot of hands and cat reflexes that frustrated the chances of Unai Emery’s team, who could only beat him on one occasion. It was in the second half when Douglas Luiz, first in the area, beat the Cameroonian and tied the game.
The goal immediately went viral, not because of its beauty, but because of what the former Girona player did immediately afterwards. The midfielder couldn’t think of a better way than to kneel in front of Onana and give him a little doubt dance with all its letters but that didn’t move the goalkeeper, who didn’t even react.
