A Carinthian in Friesach posed as a police officer. After the check, the ‘real’ police were immediately alerted.
Was that a carnival joke? A 43-year-old stopped his car in Friesach next to a group of pedestrians aged 22 and 23 and pretended to be a police officer. He demanded identity cards from passers-by. His son, who was driving the vehicle, took photos of the documents. Then they were sent back again.
“It was just a joke”
Then the young group thought they were in the wrong movie. “After the check, the driver from the St. Veit district said it was all just a joke and then simply drove away,” says the police, who were immediately contacted by passers-by.
“Criminal!”
The 43-year-old was found at home slightly intoxicated. Advertisement! “In Austria, this ‘fun activity’ is prohibited and punishable,” the police warn.
