Carlos Alcaraz will play in the Queen’s tournament this year, on grasswhere he will try to defend the title he won last year.
The Murcian, currently number two in the worldwon the title of Queen in 2023, the first on the grass of his sports careerbefore winning the Wimbledon crown against Novak Djokovic.
Last year was his first participation in the London tournament after he dropped out in 2022 due to an elbow injury.
Alcaraz had an irregular start to the yearwith two tournaments played, the Australian Open, where he made it to the quarterfinalsand the recent ATP 250 of Buenos Aires, where he reached the semifinals.
This Tuesday it debuts Rio de Janeiro against Brazilian Thiago Monteirobefore playing a exhibition with Rafael Nadal in Las Vegas next March 3 and then the Masters 1,000 of Indian Wells and Miami.
Queen’s will be held from June 17 to 23, 2024 and is under the ATP 500 category.
