Badalona fell to the leader, a very effective Olot.
The local team was unlucky in the first half, as they had the best options to get ahead on the scoreboard. Dani Homet shot over the bar in the opening minutes, while Walid hit the crossbar from inside the area. Olot showed the reason for its leadership and with the only defensive error by the locals they went ahead. Moha Chabboura headed a lateral cross at the near post at the end of the first half.
After the restart, Badalona came out ready to equalize, but nothing could be further from the truth, because in one against the scorer Marc Más it ended in a small area to widen the gap and leave the match almost doomed.
Until the end, Badalona worked hard to close the gap, although Craviotto twice avoided another visitor’s goal. Carlos Martínez also flashed the Girona goalkeeper, and even in extra time Walid saw goalkeeper Mourín save him from a penalty.
