Genoa presented its fourth equipment on Wednesday, a navy blue shirt and a yellow stripe in the middle, inspired by the colors of the Boca juniors to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the birth of the Argentine Club, founded by immigrants who were Genoese in Buenos Aires.
The new dress maintains the Boca’s chromatic scheme, the blue and yellow, but incorporates the Genoa Shield with a symbolic tap, a symbol of the oldest club in Italy.
As a special detail, behind, just under the neck, the inscription ‘Zeneixi’ was added, the adaptation of the ‘Xeneizes’, a term, originally meant “Genoese” and eventually became a symbol of identity for the Buenos Aires Club.
Using this shirt, Genoa honored the Boca Juniors, one of the world’s most clarity teams, founded in 1905 by Genoese immigrants who lived in Buenos Aires.
For equipment presentation, Genoa prepared a photographic and audiovisual campaign in charge photographer Sam Gregg with the aim of capturing emotional, cultural and football relationships united in Genoa and Buenos Aires.
This launch not only celebrates the shared football history, but also pays tribute to the Migratory Waves in the early twentieth century, when thousands of Genoese arranged in Argentina, according to Italy Club on a note.
Genoa will lead this fourth equipment on March 29 in its series against Juventus in Turin.
