Ecologists in Action asked the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) which does not refer to Afouteza sports city, property of RC Celta, as one of the sub-headquarters for Soccer World Cup 2030 because they are facilities”illegal”.
The Galician delegation of Ecologists in Action sent a letter to the entity it leads Pedro Rocha to remind you that Celta’s sports facilities have been built “on communal mountains, forest land of special protection and in the absence of prior processing of a Special Endowment and Infrastructure Plan.”
In it, they remind the RFEF that it is about an “illegal” act, since their licenses is cancelled by decision of the Contentious-Administrative Court number 3 of Pontevedra and then confirmed by the Superior Court of Xustiza of Galicia (TSXG).
The Galician Football Federation proposed Celta’s sports city in Mos as one of fourteen sub-headquarters selected to host training sessions and friendly matches of teams participating in the World Cup to be jointly organized by Spain, Portugal and Morocco.
A decision which, in the opinion of environmentalists, the federation led by Rafael Louzán is looking for “whitewashing of illegal urban planning and attacks on the environment”that’s why they trust that RFEF technicians will reject this proposal to avoid “serious damage” to the image of what they consider the “most important” institution in Spanish football.
