The 103rd edition of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunyawhich will take place from March 18 to 24, will reveal in just two days, next Wednesday, February 28, the entire route of the next edition.
But what is known is that iryo, the first private Spanish high-speed railway operator, will be the main sponsor of the Catalan cycling event and his name appears in the attribute mountain jerseywhich is recognized by its white color with red stripes.
This jersey will dress the best climber, decided at the end of each of the 7 stages of the Volta, crowning the best in the mountain classification at the end of the trial.
In previous editions we have seen world champion caliber cyclists crowned mountain leaders Remco Evenepoel (2023), Esteban Chaves (2021), Thomas De Gendt (2016 and 2019) or Alejandro Valverde (2017 and 2018).
With iryo’s entry into Volta, the company reaffirmed its commitment to culture and sportin alliance with the third oldest stage race in the worldafter the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia.
