The Real Madrid Foundation (FRM) signed this Wednesday with the César Vallejo University of Peru the first academic training agreement with a Latin American institution, in a ceremony where former Spanish forward Fernando Morientes, ambassador of the foundation, was present.
“I grew up hand in hand with the foundation, born in 1997, which is when I arrived. “Real Madrid gave me more values, work, effort, sacrifice and leadership,” Morientes said in the press conference to present the agreement.

In the presentation of the agreement, FRM director Gema Ortega emphasized that “this educational model is unique in the world” and that “the foundation is committed to using sport to transmit values.” He also reported that they have developed social-sports schools in Peru for 14 years with the aim of preventing violence and negative or disruptive behavior.
“The agreement with the university is to close the circle,” he said and then reiterated that it was “academic training” and its purpose. “raise better men and better leaders.”
Ortega explained that the program will begin next April and will include training until Platform of the Sport Values Academy-Real Madrid Foundation, supplemented by face-to-face courses in Madrid. “Through this platform we intend to democratize training,” he said.
