It was explained this Wednesday by Councilor for Sports, Javier Santos, during the presentation of a new campaign carried out in collaboration with the Royal Madrid Football Federation (RFFM) to raise awareness among families about the importance of good behavior within sports facilities.

Under the name of ‘Enjoy our sport’, The campaign had the support in its presentation of the former coach and former national football coach Vicente del Bosque and the former player and former director of Getafe Football Club Gregorio Serrano, as well as the Getafe Federation of Peñas.

It is a joint awareness and education initiative in the city’s soccer fields, including goal of raising awareness among families about the importance of behavior within sports facilities, especially when young people are playing sports.

“Football is an extraordinary sport, full of values ​​such as effort, fellowship and unity. However, unfortunately, there are external circumstances that cause acts of verbal and physical violence,” asserted the Sports councilor, who joined the latest RFFM initiative.

In this sense, RFFM implemented the callor ‘Zero Tolerance Protocol against Violence in Football’, a proposal aimed at footballers, coaches, managers and family members whose main objective is “the elimination of violence and inappropriate behavior on the football field.”

The protocol establishes a program of action that will promote respect, integrity and safety in sport, as well as the promotion of social and educational values ​​through sports training.

Along these lines, the City Council of Getafe is committed to act “strong” with teams that, whether on the playing fields or in the stands, display behavior far from the values ​​of the sport, even proceeding in repeated cases to cancel the training and competitive activity of team at city facilities.” .

The Getafe campaign will last two weekends and reach around 9,000 athletes, Where they will have a partnership with the Getafe clubs, who are also participating in the campaign.

In addition, each athlete will be given an information brochure addressed to their parents reminding them of the importance of maintaining good behavior in regarding his children, his rivals, the referees and the other fans.
