Another push for Kimmich towards an exit?

Date:

Joshua Kimmich, captain of Bayern, is a regular name linked to FC Barcelona in recent markets. It is known that between the economic and regulatory obstacles that the Barça club suffers and the hierarchy that the German international enjoys both in his team and in his national team, this intention enters more in the realm of a dream rather than a goal. Perhaps because of the new reality Kimmich is experiencing in Germany, the possibility of considering a change of scenery is more feasible. The German media echoes that the problems Kimmich is having with Thomas Tuchel at Bayern could be replicated in the German team with Julian Nagelsmann. The reason is clearly suggested is a change in the hierarchy of football. With the Euro Cup as the host looming, Nagelsmann wants to hand his team’s command of the wide zone to Toni Kroos, the mastermind behind Real Madrid who has decided to take the German shirt off its hanger again.

Bild this Saturday described the tactical mess that has plagued his relationship with Thomas Tuchel and could now affect his reconciliation with Julian Nagelsmann. The former Bayern coach, currently the selector, has revealed that Kimmich will play in the right-back position at the Euro Cup to facilitate Kroos’ reintegration into his draw.

The point is that Kimmich, at 29 years old, is not comfortable with his retrospective recycling as a right back. That journey was never made by the mirror in which he always reflected himself, the legendary Philipp Lahm. In the draw (2-2) against SC Freiburg, Kimmich was an easy victim of the rival because, as Bild pointed out, “he didn’t work hard and the Freiburg team realized it repeatedly attacking the right side of Kimmich’s defense “The result: Kimmich was substituted in the 64th minute, furious when he had to make way for the Austrian Konrad Laimer.” It was also noted that Kimmich “is a total failure as a right back with positional errors and bad passes. Nagelsmann also needs to think about what he wants to do in the position.”

Meanwhile, it has been noted that if he continues with this plan, Kimmich could also be a real problem for Nagelsmann and his Germany.

On the verge of losing its first Bundesliga title in 12 years, Bayern are awaiting a summer of big changes. On the one hand, Thomas Tuchel’s farewell to the Munich bench has been made official, but the renewal of the cast of the locker room is increasingly necessary. Kimmich is 29 years old and has a contract until 2025. If by the time he is on firmer ground there has already been speculation about a farewell, it is not really reasonable to think about a possible exit that could benefit all parties. And, in that context, you will see what your best fortune is.
