Cauley was in a car accident in 2018 with severe injuries and this was his third tournament in four and a half years. He shot a 65 on Friday and took the lead by one.
Campillo was forced to return in the second round after the first day on the Champions course at PGA National.
Conditions were not easy on Friday. The wind blew on Jack Nicklaus’ course and the results suffered greatly.
