American Jordan Gumberg won the DP World Tour SDC Championship title on the second playoff hole in the Eastern Cape, South Africa, after local rival Robin Williams blew a two-stroke lead on the last two holes.
Gumberg, 28, carded a final round of 68 strokes, four under par and no bogeys, to finish the tournament at 12 under par, tied with South African Williams (69), who was 14 under par before a double bogey at par three 17th holes will force a playoff.
Both players played the first extra hole before Gumberg, ranked 669th in the world, came second to claim the title, his first on the DP World Tour. It will get an exemption from the circuit for this season and next.
Frenchman David Ravetto (70) finished third with 10 under par.
Regarding the performance of the Spaniards, the Catalan Adri Arnaus, who started the tie in 9th, scored 74 strokes and is in 20th place with a total of -4 while Adrián Otaegui finished in 24th with -3.
