He Burgos BH will participate again for another year in Burgos Sports Days organized by Burgos Sports Press Association. In the 26th edition of this initiative, the purple team visited the school of Blanca de Castilla of the capital of Burgos to convey to the youngest the values promoted by sports training. The Burgos team makes several visits to educational centers each year as part of its social commitment to the province. In 2023, some team members visited the CEIP María Teresa de León de Ibeas de Juarros as part of both these days and the Fernando de Rojas School from Burgos a few weeks later.

Both responded to various questions from the children, who showed interest in various aspects of cycling and were excited to meet the athletes in person. Some of the topics discussed are the athlete’s life after professional retirement, what is the coexistence between runners within the peloton, how to overcome the fall, how to prepare for a competition in days and hours before determining each cyclist’s role in the race.
Also, David Cantera, technical director of the team, He explained his work on the structure and showed the young people the equipment used by cyclists, such as their bikes, helmets or jerseys. All this, remembering the importance of physical exercise for a healthy life and the use case for all those who practice this sport. This is not the only activity of the year, because the Burgos BH plans to hold a new day to introduce cycling to students of other schools in the city next May.
This visit is part of Burgos Sports Days held annually by APDB and this month of March they bring different sports to the schools of the province. As part of these sessions, Burgos BH will participate this Thursday, March 7, at Burgos Sports Galaalso organized by this organization of journalists, where the team was nominated for the award for the best sports entity of 2023, an award it already received in the last edition.
