Sainz, successfully operated on for appendicitis

Date:

Ferrari issued a statement this Friday confirming that Carlos Sainz has undergone a successful operation for appendicitis which prevented him from completing the Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia. The operation went without any complications and the Spaniard is now resting in hospital to begin his recovery.

The goal is nothing but to get back into the competition Australian Grand Prixwhich will take place between March 22 and 24. Logically, there is no more haste than necessary because the health of the people of Madrid is a priority.

In Jeddah he replaces it Oliver Bearman, F1 driver and reserve for Maranello. The Briton will make history by making his debut at the age of 18 with the Italians and will become the third youngest ever to do so. No one has made a Scuderia debut since 1972 with Arturo Merzario.
