Bosch, who participated in the symposium ‘Sustainability in sporting event’ held at the Museu Olímpic i de l’Esport in Barcelona, also said that “the organization of the Games should aim to improve the quality of life of the people of the territory and it is going through a sustainable model ”.
So, for the person in charge of the Barcelona-Pirineus candidacy, the celebration of the Games “This will allow to have a good loudspeaker to go with this model.” In this sense, Bosch explained that when the candidacy began “there were some recommendations in the IOC that were not very flexible and the territory was in the service of the Games”.
Instead, he now considers that it has changed: “Games are in service territory. We want to make the change that is demanded from the territory, where we are working on their needs ”.
These statements came hours after the Minister of the Presidency of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Laura Vilagrà, said that a single Catalan Olympic project would have “all the guarantees to win” after the impossibility of determining the joint candidacy between Catalonia and Aragon.
